No, I’m not talking about the slow rollout of the NFL calendar. I’m talking about college hockey, of course! Minnesota State and the CCHA unveiled their 2025-26 schedules on Tuesday, so we can start thinking about short days and cold nights once again.
The Mavericks have quite the grind ahead of them, playing 10 consecutive weeks without a break to start the season, including most of what could be a challenging nonconference slate. Who’s ready for a road trip to Madison? What about Palm Springs over New Years? Makes me long to be a beat writer — with a travel budget — once again.
